Virtual Rally 2025
Our eighth annual Virtual Rally was held at the end of February 2025.
This year our theme was based around cleaning your car in preparation for the new show season.
We had three categories - Best Farina, Best Pre-Farina and Best “Basket Case” Restoration
Members downloaded the rally plaque from the Farina Forum and took a picture of their car being prepared for showing.
Once again COOC members from around the world excelled themselves.
Here are the some of the popular cars
Our overall winner and Best Farina was Gabriel Manssa’s 1966 Siam Di Tella, Morris Traveller. Gabriel is in Buenos Aires and recently completed a nut & bolt restoration of his car. He wins a 12 month COOC membership voucher.
Our Best Pre-Farina award went to David Morris for his 1958 Austin Cambridge A55 Mk 1
He’s owned the car since 1982, when it was his daily driver. Usage of the car waned and it was semi-retired until David himself semi-retired and has started recommissioning it.
Our “Basket Case” award goes to Dave Kingston and his 1961 Wolseley 15/60
He’s owned the car since 1996 but had it in storage until starting restoration a few months ago.Sadly it deteriorated a fair bit in the last nearly 30 years needing 95% of the chassis replacing along with pretty much everything else in line for repair or replacement. He can't imagine a worse one's ever been brought back to life. Hopefully another couple of years of work should see it back on the road.
Dave and David will each receive a consolation prize of a bottle of T-Cut and a Car Care manual.
