The Cambridge-Oxford Owners Club 2014 Autumn Rally and AGM

The Cambridge–Oxford Owners Club (C-OOC) rounded off their successful 2014 rally season at Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire on Sunday 19th October.
The unseasonably fine weather ensured a good turnout of over 40 cars and the venue proved popular with COOC members who enjoyed the museum displays and tram rides.

It was fitting that Aleksandar Krstenic's pre-farina based Austin A60 1/2 ton van won the AGM Trophy for 'Most Popular' car as well as winning (the much smaller) 'Best Commercial' prize as the rally took place almost exactly 60 years after the launch of the Cambridge/Westminster cars in late 1954.

That small range of initially Austin A40, A50 Cambridge and A95, A105 Westminster launched the floorpan and kit of mechanical parts which would later also underpin the entire badge engineered Farina designed range of rear-wheel-drive BMC cars; every car the C-OOC caters for is based on those original floorpans.
